Amending O. Reg. 199/07

(COMMERCIAL MOTOR VEHICLE INSPECTIONS)

1. Section 19 of Ontario Regulation 199/07 is amended by striking out notes 12 and 13 and substituting the following:

¹²Emergency exit requirements are in section 19 of Regulation 587 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 (Equipment) made under the Act and in subsection 1 (2) of Schedule 7 to this Regulation.

¹³Interior lamp requirements are in section 20 of Regulation 587 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 (Equipment) made under the Act and in section 6 of Schedule 7 to this Regulation.

2. Paragraph 3 of subsection 1 (2) of Schedule 7 to the Regulation is amended by adding the following subparagraph:

i.1  if a door, shall have adequate directions for the emergency use of the door displayed on or adjacent to it,

Commencement

3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day section 2 of Schedule 23 to the Better for People, Smarter for Business Act, 2020 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
