Amending O. Reg. 570/05
(LICENSING OF ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS AND MASTER ELECTRICIANS)
1. (1) The definition of “certificate of qualification” in subsection 1 (1) of Ontario Regulation 570/05 is amended by striking out “Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009” at the end and substituting “Building Opportunities in the Skilled Trades Act, 2021”.
(2) Subsection 1 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following definition:
“provisional certificate of qualification” means a provisional certificate of qualification issued under the Building Opportunities in the Skilled Trades Act, 2021. (“certificat de qualification temporaire”)
2. Paragraphs 4 and 5 of section 2 of the Regulation are amended by striking out “Ontario College of Trades and Apprenticeship Act, 2009” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “Building Opportunities in the Skilled Trades Act, 2021”.
3. Subclauses 11 (b) (i) and (iv) of the Regulation are amended by striking out “a certificate of qualification” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “a certificate of qualification or a provisional certificate of qualification”.
4. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day section 1 of the Building Opportunities in the Skilled Trades Act, 2021 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
