Amending O. Reg. 134/98
(GENERAL)
1. The French versions of the definitions of “parent” and “sole support parent” in subsection 1 (1) of Ontario Regulation 134/98 are revoked and the following substituted:
«parent» S’entend en outre de la personne qui a manifesté l’intention bien arrêtée de traiter un enfant comme s’il s’agissait d’un enfant de sa famille, sauf si l’enfant est placé, contre valeur, dans un foyer d’accueil ou dans un foyer pour enfants. («parent»)
«parent seul soutien de famille» Relativement à l’auteur d’une demande, à un bénéficiaire ou à une personne à charge, s’entend de la personne dont le groupe de prestataires comprend une ou plusieurs personnes à sa charge mais ne comprend pas de conjoint. («sole support parent»)
2. The French version of clause 9 (b) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “de son père et de sa mère” and substituting “parental”.
3. The French version of paragraph 1 of subsection 10 (7) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “ses père et mère” and substituting “ses parents”.
4. The French version of the heading before subsection 11 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “le père ou la mère” at the end and substituting “les parents”.
5. The French version of paragraph 1 of subsection 44 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “d’un père ou d’une mère” and substituting “d’un parent”.
6. The French version of subsection 50 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “le père, la mère, le grand-père ou la grand-mère” in the portion before clause (a) and substituting “un parent ou grand-parent”.
7. The French version of paragraph 9 of subsection 54 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “parent” and substituting “membre de la parenté”.
8. The French version of clause 56 (2) (b) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “leur père ou leur mère” and substituting “leurs parents”.
9. The French version of clause 57 (2) (c) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “ni le père, ni la mère, ni aucune autre personne” at the beginning and substituting “aucun parent ni aucune autre personne”.
10. The French version of the Regulation is amended by striking out “le père ou la mère”, “son père ou sa mère” and “un père ou une mère” wherever they appear and substituting in each case “le parent”, “son parent” and “un parent” respectively.

11. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
