Amending O. Reg. 222/98

(GENERAL)

1. (1) The Table to paragraph 1 of subsection 30 (1) of Ontario Regulation 222/98 is revoked and the following substituted:

Note 3. A recipient with a spouse included in the benefit unit if each of the recipient and the spouse is a person with a disability or a person referred to in subparagraph 1 i of subsection 4 (1) or paragraph 3, 5.1, 5.2, 6, 7 or 8 of subsection 4 (1).

For each additional dependant, add $222 if the dependant is 18 years of age or older or $0 if the dependant is 0 to 17 years of age.

(2) Subsection 30 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$1,971” at the end and substituting “$2,070”.

2. (1) The Table to paragraph 2 of subsection 31 (2) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(2) Paragraph 5 of subsection 31 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$72” and substituting “$76”.

3. (1) Paragraph 2 of subsection 32 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$1,017” and substituting “$1,068”.

(2) Paragraph 3 of subsection 32 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$1,021” in the portion before subparagraph i and substituting “$1,073”.

4. (1) Paragraph 1 of subsection 33 (1) of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) striking out “$825” at the beginning of subparagraph i and substituting “$867”;

(b) striking out “$1,230” at the beginning of subparagraph ii and substituting “$1,292”; and

(c) striking out “$1,644” at the beginning of subparagraph iii and substituting “$1,727”.

(2) Paragraph 2 of subsection 33 (1) of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) striking out “$242” at the beginning of sub-subparagraph i A and substituting “$255”;

(b) striking out “$279” at the beginning of sub-subparagraph i B and substituting “$293”;

(c) striking out “$462” at the beginning of sub-subparagraph i C and substituting “$486”;

(d) striking out “$101” at the beginning of subparagraph ii and substituting “$107”;

(e) striking out “$138” at the beginning of subparagraph iii and substituting “$145”; and

(f) striking out “$227” at the beginning of subparagraph iv and substituting “$239”.

(3) Paragraph 2.1 of subsection 33 (1) of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) striking out “$101” at the beginning of subparagraph i and substituting “$107”;

(b) striking out “$138” at the beginning of subparagraph ii and substituting “$145”; and

(c) striking out “$227” at the beginning of subparagraph iii and substituting “$239”.

5. The Table to subparagraph 1 ii of section 40 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

For each additional dependant, add $222 if the dependant is 18 years of age or older or $0 if the dependant is 0 to 17 years of age.

The amount attributable to a dependent child shall be reduced by 50 per cent where budgetary requirements for the child were reduced under section 33.2.

Commencement

6. This Regulation comes into force on September 1, 2022 or, if this Regulation is filed after that day, this Regulation is deemed to have come into force on that day.
