Amending Reg. 965 of R.R.O. 1990
(HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT)
1. Section 16 of Regulation 965 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by adding the following subsection:
(3.1) If a discharged patient remains in the hospital for more than 24 hours after the date set out in the discharge order, the hospital shall charge the patient a fee of $400 for every day that the patient remains in the hospital following the expiry of that 24-hour period.
Commencement
2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day that is 60 days after the day section 2 of the More Beds, Better Care Act, 2022 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
