Amending O. Reg. 686/21
(MANDATORY PROGRAMS AND SERVICES)
1. Ontario Regulation 686/21 is amended by striking out “Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry” wherever it appears in the following provisions and substituting in each case “Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry”:
1. Paragraph 5 of subsection 3 (2).
2. Subsection 7 (1).
2. Subsection 11 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraph:
9. Whether or not the parcel or a portion of the parcel is suitable for the purposes of housing and housing infrastructure development, including identifying,
i. any applicable zoning by-law passed under section 34 or 38 of the Planning Act or any predecessor of them,
ii. if the parcel or a portion of the parcel augments any natural heritage located within the authority’s area of jurisdiction, and
iii. if the parcel or a portion of the parcel integrates with other provincially or municipally owned lands or other publicly accessible lands and trails within the authority’s area of jurisdiction.
Commencement
3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of January 1, 2023 and the day this Regulation is filed.
