Amending Reg. 965 of R.R.O. 1990

(HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT)

1. Subsection 31 (2) of Regulation 965 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is revoked and the following substituted:

(2) Despite subsection (1), the following tissue shall not be sent to a laboratory unless the surgeon performing the operation or curettage requests an examination and report on such tissue:

1.  Where the tissue removed is an arm, finger, foot, hand, hemorrhoid, lens, leg, prepuce, tonsil, toe, toenail or tooth.

2.  Where the tissue removed is from reconstructive joint surgery related to a degenerative condition.

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 1, 2023 and the day this Regulation is filed.
