Amending O. Reg. 137/15

(GENERAL)

1. Subsection 14 (1) of Ontario Regulation 137/15 is amended by striking out “except where the plans are approved by the Minister under section 22 of Ontario Regulation 138/15 (Funding, Cost Sharing and Financial Assistance) made under the Act” at the end.

2. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

Communications for parents

83.1 (1) Every licensee shall ensure that all communications or informational materials provided by the Minister for the purposes of distribution to parents of children receiving licensed child care are shared with a parent of each child receiving child care at a child care centre operated by the licensee or at a premises where the licensee oversees the provision of home child care.

(2) The licensee shall ensure that the communications or informational materials referred to in subsection (1) are shared with the parents,

(a)  without any revision to the content of the communications or material; and

(b)  within the timeframe specified by a director.

3. Section 85 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

Return of signage

85. A home child care provider shall return any signage that was provided for the purposes of the Act to the home child care agency within 30 days after the day the provider’s agreement with the agency expires or otherwise terminates.

Commencement

4. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 1, 2025 and the day this Regulation is filed.
