Amending O. Reg. 429/00

(Transition — Municipal Questions for the 2000 Regular Election)

1. Ontario Regulation 429/00 is amended by adding the fol­lowing section:

4. Despite section 1, the following apply to a by-law of The Cor­poration of the Town of Ajax or The Corporation of the Town of Whitby under clause 8 (1) (c) of the Act to submit the question set out in subsection 1 (4) or (5), respectively, of Ontario Regulation 425/00:

1. Clause 8.1 (1) (a) of the Act shall be read as if the reference to “180 days” was a reference to “20 days”.

2. Subsections 8.1 (3) and (4) of the Act do not apply to the by-law.
