Amending O. Reg. 400/98

(Tax Matters — Tax Rates for School Purposes)

Note: Since the end of 2001, Ontario Regulation 400/98 has been amended by Ontario Regulation 138/02. Previous amendments are listed in the Table of Regulations published in The Ontario Gazette dated January 19, 2002.

1. Section 9 of Ontario Regulation 400/98 is amended by adding the following subsection:

(5.1) Despite subsections (3), (4) and (5), the tax rates for school purposes for 2002 for the purposes of section 257.7 of the Act for the Region of Durham and the City of Hamilton are the tax rates for the property classes set out in Table 12 opposite the name of each municipality.

2. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

City of Ottawa

12. Despite the provisions of any other section, the tax rate for school purposes for the professional sports facility property class in the City of Ottawa for 2002 is 0.02283103, but shall be reduced for 2002 by 0.02043514.

3. (1) Table 10 of the Regulation is amended by striking out the tax rate of “0.02934667” in the column under the heading “Industrial Property Class” in the row for the municipality of “North Bay, City of” and substituting “0.02424000”.

(2) Table 10 of the Regulation is amended by striking out the rows for “Durham, Region of” and “Hamilton, City of”.

4. The Regulation is amended by adding the following Table:
