Schedule to Northern Services Boards Act amended

1. The Schedule to the Act is amended to add the following to the powers that may be exercised by a Local Services Board pursuant to an order of the Minister under section 31 of the Act:

9. EMERGENCY TELECOMMUNICATIONS

The Board may, by by-law, contract for the establishment, operation and maintenance of an emergency telecommunications service that communicates with fire, police and ambulance communications services, and may charge a fee for the cost of such service.
