Amending Reg. 839 of R.R.O. 1990

(Designated Substance — Benzene)

1. (1) Subsection 4 (1) of Regulation 839 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by striking out “1.0 parts benzene” and substituting “0.5 parts benzene”.

(2) Subsection 4 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “5.0 parts benzene” in the portion before clause (a) and substituting “2.5 parts benzene”.

2. Subsection 16 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Workers’ Compensation Act” at the end and substituting “Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997”.

3. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.

(2) Section 1 comes into force on December 31, 2005.
