Amending O. Reg. 100/02

(Teacher Qualifying Test)

1. (1) The French version of subparagraphs 1 ii and iii of subsection 3 (1) of Ontario Regulation 100/02 are revoked and the following substituted:

ii. les certificats de compétence temporaires visés à l’article 13 de ce règlement,

iii. les certificats de compétence temporaires (limités) visés à l’article 13.1 de ce règlement.

(2) Paragraphs 6 and 7 of subsection 3 (1) of the Regulation are revoked.

2. Section 4 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

Temporary exemptions

4. (1) The following certificates may be granted under section 18 of the Ontario College of Teachers Act, 1996 to an eligible person who is required to pass a qualifying test under subsection 10.1 (1) of the Act and has not done so, on the condition that the person pass a qualifying test within one year of the date on which the certificate is granted or, if the term of validity of the certificate is extended by the Registrar under Ontario Regulation 184/97, within the extended term of validity:

1. A certificate of qualification (provisional) referred to in section 3.2 of Ontario Regulation 184/97.

2. An interim certificate of qualification (provisional) referred to in section 13.2 of Ontario Regulation 184/97.

3. An interim certificate of qualification (limited, provisional) referred to in section 13.3 of Ontario Regulation 184/97.

(2) Where a person is entitled to be granted a certificate under subsection (1), the granting of a certificate of registration to the same person is also exempt from the requirements of subsection 10.1 (1) of the Act.
