Amending O. Reg. 388/97

(Fire Code)

1. (1) Sentence (2) of Article 2.13.1.2 of Ontario Regulation 388/97 is revoked and the following substituted:

(2) RESERVED.

(2) Article 2.13.2.3 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following Sentence:

(2.1) In addition to the requirements in Sentence (2), at least one smoke alarm shall be installed on each storey that does not contain a sleeping area in a dwelling unit.

2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of March 1, 2006 and the day this Regulation is filed.
