Amending O. Reg. 223/05
(Fees)
1. (1) Subsection 1 (1) of Ontario Regulation 223/05 is amended by adding the following definition:
“licensing period” means the period for which a licence is valid;
(2) The definition of “licensing year” in subsection 1 (1) of the Regulation is revoked.
2. Subsection 2 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “licensing year” and substituting “licensing period”.
3. Section 5 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
Application for licence
5. The fee for an application for the issuance or renewal of a licence under section 6 of the meat regulation is $300.
4. Section 6 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
Transition re application for licence
6. (1) Despite section 5,
(a) the fee for an application for the renewal of a licence for a Group 1 plant in 2011 is $100; and
(b) the fee for an application for the renewal of a licence for a Group 2 plant in 2011 is $200.
(2) For the purposes of subsection (1),
“Group 1 plant” and “Group 2 plant” have the same meanings as in the meat regulation.
(3) This section is revoked on July 1, 2011.
5. This Regulation comes into force on the later of January 1, 2011 and the day this Regulation is filed.
