Amending O. Reg. 574/94

(Identification)

1. Paragraph 2 of section 1 of Ontario Regulation 574/94 is amended by striking out “the chief provincial firearms officer for Ontario” and substituting “the chief firearms officer for Ontario”.

2. (1) Subsection 2 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out the portion before clause (a) and substituting the following:

(1) The permit described in section 1 shall be issued to every applicant who is at least 18 years old or who holds a valid licence issued to him or her under subsection 8 (2) or (3) of the Firearms Act (Canada) and who submits to the chief firearms officer for Ontario a document,

. . . . .

(2) Subsection 2 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the chief provincial firearms officer for Ontario” at the end and substituting “the chief firearms officer for Ontario”.

3. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
