Amending O. Reg. 339/94

(DEMERIT POINT SYSTEM)

1. (1) Item 28 of the Table to Ontario Regulation 339/94 is revoked and the following substituted:

(2) Items 36.2 and 36.3 of the Table to the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:

 

36.2	Subsection 159 (2) of the Highway Traffic Act	3	Failing to slow down and proceed with caution for emergency vehicle or tow truck
36.3	Subsection 159 (3) of the Highway Traffic Act	3	Failing to move into another lane for emergency vehicle or tow truck – if safe to do so

(3) The Table to the Regulation is amended by adding the following item:

Commencement

2. (1) Subject to subsections (2) to (6), this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.

(2) Subsection 1 (1) comes into force on the later of the day section 49 of the Transportation Statute Law Amendment Act (Making Ontario’s Roads Safer), 2015 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.

(3) Subsection 1 (2) comes into force on the later of the day section 47 of the Transportation Statute Law Amendment Act (Making Ontario’s Roads Safer), 2015 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.

(4) Subsection 1 (3) comes into force on the later of the day section 22 of the Transportation Statute Law Amendment Act (Making Ontario’s Roads Safer), 2015 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.

(5) Subsection 1 (4) comes into force on the later of the day section 23 of the Transportation Statute Law Amendment Act (Making Ontario’s Roads Safer), 2015 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.

(6) Subsection 1 (5) comes into force on the later of the day section 42 of the Transportation Statute Law Amendment Act (Making Ontario’s Roads Safer), 2015 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
