Amending O. Reg. 134/98
(GENERAL)
1. (1) Subsection 39 (1) of Ontario Regulation 134/98 is amended by adding the following paragraph:
38. A payment received by a class member from the Nova Scotia Home for Colored Children Settlement Agreement.
(2) Subsection 39 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraphs:
39. Payments made under the Athlete Assistance Program, administered by the Department of Canadian Heritage.
40. Payments made by Ontario or Canada pursuant to an aboriginal land claim settlement agreement.
2. Subsection 43 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “section 2, 2.1, 2.2 or 2.3” and substituting “section 2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 or 2.6”.
3. Sub-subparagraph 2 i A of subsection 49 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Day Nurseries Act” and substituting “Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014”.
4. (1) Subsection 52 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraph:
15.2 Subject to subsection (2), a rent supplement funded by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care that is used to pay for permanent supportive rental housing for persons who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
(2) Subsection 52 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “paragraph 15 of subsection (1)” and substituting “paragraph 15 or 15.2 of subsection (1)”.
5. (1) Subparagraph 1 iii of subsection 54 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “instructional supplies or transportation” and substituting “instructional supplies, transportation or child care”.
(2) Paragraph 2.1 of subsection 54 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “instructional supplies and equipment and transportation” and substituting “instructional supplies and equipment, transportation and child care”.
(3) Subsection 54 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraph:
29. A payment received by a class member from the Nova Scotia Home for Colored Children Settlement Agreement.
(4) Subsection 54 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraph:
30. Payments made under the Athlete Assistance Program, administered by the Department of Canadian Heritage.
6. Subparagaph 1 ii of subsection 55 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “for dependent children and” and substituting “for members of the benefit unit who are younger than 18 years of age and for”
7. Paragraph 2 of subsection 57.2 (4) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
2. The cost of eye-glasses for members of the benefit unit who are 18 years of age or older.
Commencement
8. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
(2) Subsections 1 (1) and 5 (3) are deemed to have come into force on July 1, 2014.
