Amending Reg. 611 of R.R.O. 1990

(SAFETY INSPECTIONS)

1. (1) Subsection 8 (7) of Regulation 611 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by striking out the portion before clause (a) and substituting the following:

(7) Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply to an unladen commercial vehicle while it is being operated,

(2) Clause 8 (7) (b) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(b) under the terms of a dealer number plate, service number plate or manufacturer number plate issued under that regulation.

(3) Subsection 8 (8) of the Regulation is amended by striking out the portion before clause (a) and substituting the following:

(8) Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply to a commercial vehicle while it is being towed under the terms of a dealer number plate or a service number plate issued under Regulation 628 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 (Vehicle Permits) made under the Act,

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of January 1, 2016 and the day this Regulation is filed.
