Amending O. Reg. 118/07

(Ontario Access Grants and Ontario Tuition Grants)

1. Section 1 of Ontario Regulation 118/07 is amended by striking out “(Ontario Student Loans made after July 31, 2001)” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “(Ontario Student Loans made August 1, 2001 to July 31, 2017)”.

2. The definition of “approved institution” in section 1.1 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “(Prescribed Financial Institutions and Ontario Student Loans made after July 31, 2001)” and substituting “(Ontario Student Loans made August 1, 2001 to July 31, 2017)”.

3. (1) Section 4 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “(Ontario Student Loans made after July 31, 2001)” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “(Ontario Student Loans made August 1, 2001 to July 31, 2017)”.

(2) Clause 4 (a) of the Regulation is amended by adding “under Ontario Regulation 268/01 (Ontario Student Loans made August 1, 2001 to July 31, 2017) made under the Act” at the end.

(3) Clause 4 (d) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “and” at the end of subclause (i), adding “and” at the end of subclause (ii) and adding the following subclause:

(iii) begins before August 1, 2017;

4. Subclause (a) (i) of the definition of “approved institution” in section 8 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “(Prescribed Financial Institutions and Ontario Student Loans made after July 31, 2001)” and substituting “(Ontario Student Loans made August 1, 2001 to July 31, 2017)”.

5. (1) Clause 9 (1) (b) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “(Prescribed Financial Institutions and Ontario Student Loans made after July 31, 2001)” and substituting “(Ontario Student Loans made August 1, 2001 to July 31, 2017)”.

(2) Section 9 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection:

(4.2) The Minister shall not make an Ontario Tuition Grant to an individual with respect to a period of study that begins on or after August 1, 2017.

6. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

13. On August 1, 2018, this Regulation is revoked.

7. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
