Amending O. Reg. 213/91
(CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS)
1. Subsections 141.8 (3) and (4) of Ontario Regulation 213/91 are revoked and the following substituted:
(3) A professional engineer shall inspect a suspended work platform system after it has been installed for the first time at a project and before it is put into service and shall prepare a written report indicating whether the suspended work platform system complies with the drawing.
(4) A suspended work platform system shall not be put into service unless the professional engineer’s report indicates it has been installed in accordance with the drawing.
2. (1) Clause 338 (1) (a) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
(a) a copy of each form described in clause 352 (1) (b) prepared by the project physician;
(2) Subsection 338 (2) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
(2) When work in compressed air at the project is finished, the superintendent shall promptly send to a Director a copy of each form described in clause 352 (1) (b) prepared by the project physician.
3. (1) Clause 352 (1) (b) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
(b) the project physician indicates that the worker is physically fit to work in compressed air on the form entitled “Record of Compressed Air Worker”, which is Figure 1 in the CSA Standard Z275.3-09 (R2014): Occupational Safety Code for Work in Compressed Air Environments.
(2) Subsection 352 (4) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Form 1” and substituting “the form described in clause (1) (b)”.
4. Section 354 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Form 1” and substituting “the form described in clause 352 (1) (b)”.
5. (1) Subsection 395 (2) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
(2) Subject to subsection (3), decompression shall be done in accordance with Table A.1 and Table A.2 as set out in the CSA Standard Z275.3-09 (R2014): Occupational Safety Code for Work in Compressed Air Environments.
(2) Subsection 395 (5) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Tables to this Regulation” in the portion before clause (a) and substituting “tables used for decompression described in subsection (2)”.
6. Tables 1 and 2 and Form 1 of the Regulation are revoked.

7. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
