Amending O. Reg. 16/99

(AUTOMATED SYSTEM)

1. (1) The definition of “document” in section 2 of Ontario Regulation 16/99 is amended by striking out the portion before clause (a) and substituting the following:

“document” includes a plan of subdivision submitted for registration under the Land Titles Act and a reference plan submitted for deposit under that Act, but does not include,

. . . . .

(2) Clause (a) of the definition of “document” in section 2 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “a plan” at the beginning and substituting “any other plan”.

2. Subsection 3 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(1)  Subject to subsections (2) and (3), all land in Ontario is designated under clause 19 (c) of the Act as an area in which documents may not be registered or deposited under the Land Titles Act unless they are in an electronic format alone.

(2) Plans of subdivision may be registered under the Land Titles Act in a non-electronic format and reference plans may be deposited under that Act in a non-electronic format.

Commencement

3. This Regulation comes into force on the day this Regulation is filed.
