Amending O. Reg. 137/15
(GENERAL)
1. The heading before section 59 of Ontario Regulation 137/15 is amended by striking out “Criminal Reference” and substituting “Police Record”.
2. (1) Subsection 59 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “criminal reference” wherever it appears in the portion before clause (a) and substituting in each case “police record”.
(2) Clause 59 (2) (a) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “a police force” and substituting “a police service”.
(3) The French version of clause 59 (2) (a) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “il est effectué” and substituting “elle est effectuée”.
(4) The French version of clause 59 (2) (b) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “il est établi” and substituting “elle est établie”.
3. Section 64 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “a criminal reference check” at the end and substituting “another type of police record check within the meaning of the Police Record Checks Reform Act, 2015”.
4. (1) Item 15 of Table 1 of section 78 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “criminal reference” and substituting “police record”.
(2) Item 3.1 of Table 2 of section 78 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “reference” and substituting “record”.
5. (1) Section 87 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “criminal reference” in the portion before clause (a) and substituting “police record”.
(2) The French version of clause 87 (a) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “préparé” and substituting “préparée”.
(3) Subclause 87 (b) (i) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “a police force” and substituting “a police service”.
6. (1) Paragraph 6 of section 88.1 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “reference” and substituting “record”.
(2) Paragraph 8 of section 88.1 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Criminal reference” and substituting “Police record”.
Commencement
7. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on the later of the day subsection 23 (1) of the Police Record Checks Reform Act, 2015 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
(2) Subsections 2 (2) and 5 (3) come into force on the later of the day section 212 of Schedule 1 to the Safer Ontario Act, 2018 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
