Amending O. Reg. 340/94

(DRIVERS’ LICENCES)

1. (1) Paragraphs 1, 3, 4, 6, 6.1 and 7 of subsection 26 (1) of Ontario Regulation 340/94 are revoked and the following substituted:

1. For a Class A, B, C, D, E or F driver’s road test, $99.

3. For a level 2 Class G2 or M2 driver’s road test, $91.25.

4. For a level 1 Class G1 or M1 driver’s road test, $53.75.

6. For a driver’s knowledge test other than a driver’s knowledge test described in paragraph 6.1, $16.

6.1 For a Class A, B, C, D, E or F driver’s knowledge test, $23.75.

7. For an application for the replacement of a driver’s licence,

i. from July 12, 2019 to June 30, 2020, $35.75,

ii. for the one-year period starting July 1, 2020, $36.50,

iii. for the one-year period starting July 1, 2021, $37.25,

iv. for the one-year period starting July 1, 2022, $38, and

v. on and after July 1, 2023, $38.75.

(2) Paragraph 12 of subsection 26 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

12. For each six-month period or part thereof during which a driver’s licence is valid,

i. for the one-year period starting July 1, 2020, $7.65,

ii. for the one-year period starting July 1, 2021, $7.80,

iii. for the one-year period starting July 1, 2022, $7.95, and

iv. on and after July 1, 2023, $8.10.

(3) Clause 26 (1.4) (g) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(g) if the suspension commenced on or after January 1, 2019,

(i) from July 12, 2019 to June 30, 2020, $281,

(ii) for the one-year period starting July 1, 2020, $287,

(iii) for the one-year period starting July 1, 2021, $293,

(iv) for the one-year period starting July 1, 2022, $299, and

(v) on and after July 1, 2023, $305.

2. (1) Subsection 26.1 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(1) On July 12, 2019 and on every July 1 after that, the fees prescribed in paragraphs 1, 3, 4, 6 and 6.1 of subsection 26 (1) are the fees prescribed as of June 30 of the year adjusted by the percentage change in the Ontario Consumer Price Index between the previous two calendar years.

(2) Subsection 26.1 (3) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(3) If the percentage change in the Ontario Consumer Price Index between the previous two calendar years results in a negative amount under subsection (1), no adjustment shall be made.

Commencement

3. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on the later of July 12, 2019 and the day it is filed.

(2) Subsection 1 (2) comes into force on July 1, 2020.
