Extending Time Periods in Ontario Regulation 473/07
Extending time periods
1. (1) Despite paragraphs 3 and 4 of subsection 4 (1) of Ontario Regulation 473/07 (Licences for Driving Instructors and Driving Schools) made under the Act, the period of one year referred to in those paragraphs is extended until the day this Regulation is revoked if, without the extension, the period would expire to the detriment of the applicant on or after the day this Regulation comes into force.
(2) Despite paragraph 13 of subsection 4 (1) of Ontario Regulation 473/07, the period of five years referred to in that subsection is extended until the day this Regulation is revoked if, without the extension, the period would expire to the detriment of the applicant on or after the day this Regulation comes into force.
(3) Despite subsections 6 (1) and 7 (1) of Ontario Regulation 473/07, the term of validity of a driving instructor licence referred to in subsection 6 (1) or 7 (1), as applicable, is extended until the day this Regulation is revoked if, without the extension, the term of validity would expire on or after the day this Regulation comes into force.
(4) A driving instructor licence with a term of validity that is extended under subsection (2) is not renewable, unless the licence is renewed within one year after the expiry date referred to in subsection 6 (1) or 7 (1), as applicable, of Ontario Regulation 473/07.
(5) Despite section 19 and subsection 20 (1) of Ontario Regulation 473/07, the term of validity of a driving school licence referred to in section 19 or subsection 20 (1), as applicable, is extended until the day this Regulation is revoked if, without the extension, the term of validity would expire on or after the day this Regulation comes into force.
(6) A driving school licence with a term of validity that is extended under subsection (4) is not renewable, unless the licence is renewed within six months after the expiry date referred to in section 19 or subsection 20 (1), as applicable, of Ontario Regulation 473/07.
(7) Despite subsection 26 (2) of Ontario Regulation 473/07, the period of one year referred to in that subsection is extended until the day this Regulation is revoked if, without the extension, the period would expire to the detriment of the applicant on or after the day this Regulation comes into force.
Commencement
2. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
