(CALCULATION OF FEES FOR PUPILS FOR THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL BOARD FISCAL YEAR)
1. (1) Paragraph 16 of subsection 3 (3) of Ontario Regulation 278/19 is revoked and the following substituted:
16. Take the total of the elementary base funding amount and the elementary projection variance protection funding amount (both part of the teacher job protection amount, which is part of the cost adjustment and new teacher program allocation) under the grant regulation.
(2) Paragraph 23 of subsection 3 (3) of the Regulation is revoked.
(3) Paragraph 15 of subsection 3 (4) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
15. Take the total of the secondary base funding amount and the secondary projection variance protection funding amount (both part of the teacher job protection amount, which is part of the cost adjustment and new teacher program allocation) under the grant regulation.
(4) Paragraph 23 of subsection 3 (4) of the Regulation is revoked.
2. (1) Subsection 8 (6) of the Regulation is amended by adding “Subject to subsection (8)” at the beginning.
(2) Section 8 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection:
(8) No fee is payable in respect of a pupil described in clause (a) of the definition of “other pupil” in subsection 1 (2) of the A.D.E. regulation who is enrolled in a summer school class or course provided by a district school board or an isolate board and who satisfies one of the following criteria:
1. The pupil was enrolled as a day school pupil in a school of a board pursuant to subsection 188 (1) of the Act.
2. The pupil was enrolled as a day school pupil in a school of a board pursuant to an agreement that was entered into under section 188 of the Act on or before August 31, 2019.
3. The pupil is registered to be enrolled as a day school pupil in a school of a board for the 2020-2021 school year pursuant to subsection 188 (1) of the Act or pursuant to an agreement referred to in paragraph 2.
Commencement
3. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
