Amending O. Reg. 536/20
(PERSONAL REAL ESTATE CORPORATIONS)
1. Section 1 of Ontario Regulation 536/20 is amended by striking out the definition of “child” and substituting the following:
“child”, in relation to a shareholder of a personal real estate corporation, includes a person towards whom the shareholder has demonstrated a settled intention to treat as a child of their family, except under an arrangement where the child is placed for valuable consideration in a foster home by a person having lawful custody; (“enfant”)
2. Paragraph 7 of section 3 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “customer” and substituting “self-represented party”.
Commencement
3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day subsection 31 (1) of the Trust in Real Estate Services Act, 2020 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
