Amending O. Reg. 471/98

(SCHOOL ATTENDANCE RIGHTS - NON-RESIDENT PROPERTY OWNERS)

1. Ontario Regulation 471/98 is amended by adding the following section:

8. (1) Nothing in this Regulation shall be interpreted to give a person who resides outside Ontario a right to attend a school solely through receiving online or remote learning.

(2) In this section,

“online or remote learning” means a method of instruction that relies on communication between pupils and teachers through the internet or any other means and does not require pupils to attend school in person.

2. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
