Amending Reg. 298 of R.R.O. 1990

(OPERATION OF SCHOOLS — GENERAL)

1. The French version of subsection 3 (3) of Regulation 298 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by striking out “en difficulté inscrits à un programme d’enseignement à l’enfance en difficulté” at the end and substituting “ayant des besoins particuliers en éducation spécialisée inscrits à un programme d’éducation spécialisée”.

2. The French version section 19 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “de l’enfance en difficulté” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “spécialisée”.

3. The French version of section 30 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “d’enseignement à l’enfance en difficulté” and substituting “d’éducation spécialisée”.

4. (1) The French version of section 31 of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) striking out “d’enfants en difficulté” and substituting “d’enfants ayant des besoins particuliers en éducation spécialisée” in the portion before clause (a); and

(b) striking out “à l’enfance en difficulté” and substituting “en éducation spécialisée” in the portion before clause (a).

(2) The French version of clause 31 (g) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “en difficulté” and substituting “ayant des besoins particuliers en éducation spécialisée”.

5. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day subsection 1 (4) of Schedule 2 to the Better Schools and Student Outcomes Act, 2023 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
