Amending O. Reg. 396/22

(GRANTS FOR STUDENT NEEDS — LEGISLATIVE GRANTS FOR THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL BOARD FISCAL YEAR)

1. The French version of Ontario Regulation 396/22 is amended by striking out “de l’enfance en difficulté” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “spécialisée”, except in the following provisions:

1. Paragraphs 8 and 9 of subsection 9 (1).

2. Clause 20 (2) (a).

3. Subsection 20 (3).

4. Clause 22 (2) (a).

5. Clause 78 (3) (a).

6. Clause 81 (5) (c).

2. The French version of subsection 25 (6) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “d’enseignement à l’enfance en difficulté” and substituting “d’éducation spécialisée”.

3. The French version of subclauses 81 (5) (b) (i) and (ii) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(i) le personnel supplémentaire de l’éducation spécialisée nécessaire pour favoriser la santé et la sécurité de l’élève,

(ii) le matériel d’éducation spécialisée nécessaire pour soutenir l’élève;

4. The French version of the definition of “individual education plan” in subsection 82 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “élèves en difficulté” and substituting “élèves ayant des besoins particuliers en éducation spécialisée”.

5. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day subsection 1 (4) of Schedule 2 to the Better Schools and Student Outcomes Act, 2023 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
