Amending O. Reg. 616/21

(GRANTS FOR STUDENT NEEDS — LEGISLATIVE GRANTS FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL BOARD FISCAL YEAR)

1. The French version of Ontario Regulation 616/21 is amended by striking out “de l’enfance en difficulté” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “spécialisée”, except in the following provisions:

1. Paragraphs 8 and 9 of subsection 9 (1).

2. Clause 20 (2) (a).

3. Subsection 20 (3).

4. Subsection 22 (3).

5. Clause 75 (3) (a).

6. Clause 78 (5) (c).

2. The French version of paragraph 4 of subsection 52 (9) of the Regulation is amended by adding “en éducation spécialisée” after “besoins particuliers”.

3. The French version of subclauses 78 (5) (b) (i) and (ii) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(i) le personnel supplémentaire pour l’éducation spécialisée nécessaire pour favoriser la santé et la sécurité de l’élève,

(ii) le matériel pour l’éducation spécialisée nécessaire pour soutenir l’élève;

4. The French version of the definition of “individual education plan” in subsection 79 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “élèves en difficulté” and substituting “élèves ayant des besoins particuliers en éducation spécialisée”.

5. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day subsection 1 (4) of Schedule 2 to the Better Schools and Student Outcomes Act, 2023 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
