Amending O. Reg. 135/24

(O.P.P. DETACHMENT BOARDS)

1. Subsection 6 (5) of Ontario Regulation 135/24 is revoked.

2. (1) Item 3 of Table 1 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

Bracebridge O.P.P. Detachment

The head of the municipal council for the District of Muskoka or, if the head chooses not to be or is ineligible to be a member of the board, another member of the municipal council appointed by resolution of the municipality.

Four members appointed by the District of Muskoka, each of whom is a member of the council of one of the following municipalities: Town of Bracebridge, Georgian Bay Township, Township of Gravenhurst and Muskoka Lakes Township.

One member appointed by each of the following First Nations, who is a member of the band council of the First Nation, for a total of two members: Moose Deer Point First Nation and Wahta Mohawks First Nation.

Four members appointed by the District of Muskoka who are neither members of the council of, nor employees of, the Town of Bracebridge, Georgian Bay Township, the Town of Gravenhurst, Muskoka Lakes Township or the District of Muskoka.

One member appointed by each of the following First Nations, who is neither a member of the band council of, nor an employee of, the First Nation, for a total of two members: Moose Deer Point First Nation and Wahta Mohawks First Nation.

Three members appointed by the Minister.

(2) Item 9 of Table 1 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Bingwi Nyaashi Anishinaabeck First Nation” in Column 2 and substituting “Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabeck First Nation”.

(3) Items 12 and 14 of Table 1 of the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:

Haliburton County O.P.P. Detachment

One member appointed by each of the following municipalities, who is a member of the council of the municipality, for a total of four members: Algonquin Highlands Township, Municipality of Highlands East, Minden Hills Township and the Municipality of the United Townships of Dysart, Dudley, Harcourt, Guilford, Harburn, Bruton, Havelock, Eyre and Clyde.

Two members appointed jointly by the following municipalities, who are neither members of the council of, nor employees of, any of the following municipalities: Algonquin Highlands Township, Municipality of Highlands East, Minden Hills Township and the Municipality of the United Townships of Dysart, Dudley, Harcourt, Guilford, Harburn, Bruton, Havelock, Eyre and Clyde.

One member appointed by the Minister.

Huntsville O.P.P. Detachment

The head of the municipal council for the District of Muskoka or, if the head chooses not to be or is ineligible to be a member of the board, another member of the municipal council appointed by resolution of the municipality.

Two members appointed by the District of Muskoka, each of whom is a member of the council of one of the following municipalities: Town of Huntsville and Lake of Bays Township.

Two members appointed by the District of Muskoka who are neither members of the council of, nor employees of, the Town of Huntsville, Lake of Bays Township or the District of Muskoka.

One member appointed by the Minister.

(4) Item 17 of Table 1 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Bonchere Valley Township, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township, Lyndoch” in Column 2 and substituting “Bonnechere Valley Township, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township, Brudenell, Lyndoch”.

(5) Item 19 of Table 1 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

Lanark County O.P.P. Detachment

One member appointed by each of the following municipalities, who is a member of the council of the municipality, for a total of eight members: Beckwith Township, Town of Carleton Place, Drummond-North Elmsley Township, Lanark Highlands Township, Municipality of Mississippi Mills, Montague Township, Town of Perth and Tay Valley Township.

Two members appointed jointly by the above municipalities, who are neither members of the council of, nor employees of, any of the municipalities.

Two members appointed by the Minister.

(6) Item 31 of Table 1 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Two members appointed by the Minister” in Column 2 and substituting “One member appointed by the Minister”.

3. (1) Item 3 of Table 2 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Two members” in Column 3 and substituting “Three members”.

(2) Item 17 of Table 2 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

James Bay O.P.P. Detachment

Two members appointed by the Town of Hearst who are members of the council of the municipality.

One member appointed by the Township of Mattice-Val Côté who is a member of the council of the municipality.

One member appointed by the Town of Hearst who is neither a member of the council of, nor an employee of, the municipality.

One member appointed by the Minister.

(3) Item 26 of Table 2 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “for a total of three members: Municipality of Central Manitoulin” in Column 3 and substituting “for a total of four members: Township of Billings, Municipality of Central Manitoulin”.

(4) Item 44 of Table 2 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “City of Pembroke” wherever it appears in Column 3 and substituting in each case “Town of Petawawa”.

Commencement

4. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
