Amending O. Reg. 293/12

(SERVICES TO OTHER MINISTRIES AND PUBLIC BODIES)

1. Subsection 3 (0.1) of Ontario Regulation 293/12 is amended by adding the following paragraph:

3.2 An amount owing or collectable under the Digital Platform Workers’ Rights Act, 2022.

2. Section 4 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness”.

3. Section 5 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery” and substituting “the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement”.

4. Section 7 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the Ministry of Colleges and Universities” and substituting “the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security”.

5. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

Collection services for the Ministry of the Solicitor General

8. The Minister of Revenue is authorized under subsection 11.1 (2) of the Act to enter into a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of the Solicitor General to provide collection services to the Ministry.

Commencement

6. (1) Except as otherwise provided in this section, this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.

(2) Section 1 comes into force on the later of the day section 1 of Schedule 1 (Digital Platform Workers’ Rights Act, 2022) to the Working for Workers Act, 2022 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
