Reimbursement for Defibrillators
Criteria for reimbursement
1. The following criteria must be met in order for a person to be reimbursed for the cost of a defibrillator under subsection 22.0.1 (2) of the Act:
1. The defibrillator must have been purchased on or after July 1, 2025 and no later than June 30, 2027.
2. An application for reimbursement must be submitted to the Board no later than July 31, 2027.
3. In the application for reimbursement, the person must provide to the Board,
i. proof of purchase of the defibrillator in a form specified by the Board, if any, and
ii. if section 27.1 of the Ontario Regulation 213/91 (Construction Projects) made under the Act applies to the person, a copy of the approved notification form that the person filed under subsection 6 (3) of that Regulation in respect of the project where the defibrillator was or is to be installed, or the project number assigned by the Ministry for the project, as specified by the Board.
Reimbursement
2. (1) A person may be reimbursed under subsection 22.0.1 (2) of the Act for the cost of one defibrillator for each project.
(2) The maximum amount for which the Board may reimburse a person for the cost of one defibrillator is $2500.
Commencement
3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of January 1, 2026 and the day this Regulation is filed.
