(GENERAL MATTERS UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL)

1. Ontario Regulation 155/18 is amended by adding the following section:

Maximum amount of administrative penalties

115.0.1 For the purposes of clause 279.8 (4) (a) of the Act, the maximum amount of an administrative penalty under subsection 279.8 (1) of the Act in respect of a contravention of or failure to comply with a requirement of a provision of the Act set out in Table 1, a provision of this Regulation set out in Table 2 or a provision of Ontario Regulation 156/18 (General Matters under the Authority of the Minister) made under the Act set out in Table 3 is,

(a) for a first contravention of or failure to comply with the requirement, the amount set out opposite the provision in Column 3;

(b) for a second contravention of or failure to comply with the requirement, twice the amount set out opposite the provision in Column 3; and

(c) for a third or subsequent contravention of or failure to comply with the requirement, three times the amount set out opposite the provision in Column 3.
