Public Sector Reciprocal Insurance Exchanges

Designation

1. The Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange is designated as a public sector reciprocal insurance exchange for the purposes of subsection 392.0.1 (1) of the Act.

Responsible Minister

2. The Minister of Education is the responsible Minister for the Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange.

Inclusion in consolidated financial statement of the Province

3. (1) The financial statements of the Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange shall be included in the consolidated financial statements of the Province of Ontario as set out in the Public Accounts.

(2) No later than April 30 in each year after 2025, the Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange shall provide its financial statements for the previous year to the responsible Minister.

Head offices

4. The head office of the Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange, and of each of its members, shall be located in and operated out of Ontario.

Membership

5. Each member of the Ontario School Boards’ Insurance Exchange shall be a board or board organization within the meaning of the Education Act.

Commencement

6. This Regulation comes into force on the later of January 1, 2026 and the day this Regulation is filed.
