Amending O. Reg. 664/98

(FISH LICENSING)

1. Section 0.1 of Ontario Regulation 664/98 is amended by adding the following definition:

“COSSARO” has the same meaning as in subsection 2 (1) of the Species Conservation Act, 2025; (“CDSEPO”)

2. (1) Paragraph 2 of subsection 34.1 (7) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 or” and substituting “by COSSARO or under”.

(2) Paragraph 3 of subsection 34.1 (7) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “under the Endangered Species Act, 2007 or” and substituting “by COSSARO or under”.

Commencement

3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day section 1 of Schedule 10 (Species Conservation Act, 2025) to the Protect Ontario by Unleashing our Economy Act, 2025 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
