Forest Management Planning Manual

1. (1) In this section,

“2024 Manual” means the Forest Management Planning Manual dated March 2024 and approved under subsection (2), including the Addendum to the Forest Management Planning Manual dated June 2026 and approved under subsection (2).

(2) The Forest Management Planning Manual prepared by the Ministry under paragraph 1 of subsection 68 (1) of the Act and dated March 2024 and the Addendum to the Forest Management Planning Manual dated June 2026 are approved.

(3) The 2024 Manual applies to,

(a) forest management plans with effective dates that are on or after April 1, 2028; and

(b) forest management plans with effective dates that are before April 1, 2028, subject to the phase-in provisions set out in that Manual.

(4) The Forest Management Planning Manual prepared by the Ministry under paragraph 1 of subsection 68 (1) of the Act, dated May 2020 and previously approved under Ontario Regulation 167/95 (General) made under the Act continues to apply to forest management plans with effective dates that are before July 1, 2024, subject to the phase-in provisions set out in the 2024 Manual.

Forest Information Manual

2. The Forest Information Manual prepared by the Ministry under paragraph 2 of subsection 68 (1) of the Act and dated June 2026 is approved.

Forest Operations and Silviculture Manual

3. The Forest Operations and Silviculture Manual prepared by the Ministry under paragraph 3 of subsection 68 (1) of the Act and dated May 2020 is approved.

Scaling Manual

4. The Scaling Manual prepared by the Ministry under paragraph 4 of subsection 68 (1) of the Act and dated June 2026 is approved.

Commencement

5. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 16, 2026 and the day this Regulation is filed.
