Interpretation
1. (1) Expressions used in this Act have the same meaning as in the Supply Act, 2008 unless the context requires otherwise. 2008, c. 19, Sched. J, s. 1 (1).

(2) In this Act, a reference to the estimates and supplementary estimates for 2009-10 means the estimates and supplementary estimates for the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2010 as tabled in the Assembly on or before March 31, 2010. 2008, c. 19, Sched. J, s. 1 (2).
Expenses of the public service
2. (1) For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2010, amounts not exceeding a total of $55,000,000,000,
(a) may be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund to be applied to the expenses of the public service that are not otherwise provided for; or
(b) may be recognized as non-cash expenses of the public service. 2009, c. 18, Sched. 14, s. 1.
Applied in accordance with estimates and supplementary estimates
(2) The amounts referred to in subsection (1) must be applied in accordance with the votes and items set out in the estimates and supplementary estimates for 2009-10. 2009, c. 18, Sched. 14, s. 1.
Investments of the public service
3. (1) For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2010, amounts not exceeding a total of $1,500,000,000,
(a) may paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund to be applied to the investments of the public service in capital assets, loans and other investments that are not otherwise provided for; or
(b) may be recognized as non-cash investments of the public service. 2009, c. 18, Sched. 14, s. 2.
Applied in accordance with estimates and supplementary estimates
(2) The amounts referred to in subsection (1) must be applied in accordance with the votes and items set out in the estimates and supplementary estimates for 2009-10. 2009, c. 18, Sched. 14, s. 2.
Expenses of the Legislative Offices
4. For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2010, amounts not exceeding a total of $130,000,000 may be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund to be applied to the expenses of the Legislative Offices that are not otherwise provided for and the money shall be applied in accordance with the votes and items set out in the estimates and supplementary estimates for 2009-10. 2008, c. 19, Sched. Expenditures of the public service
5. An expenditure in the votes and items set out in the estimates and supplementary estimates for 2009-10 may be incurred or recognized by the Crown through any ministry to which, during the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2010, responsibility has been given for the program or activity that includes that expenditure. 2008, c. 19, Sched.
