EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Bill postpones the repeal date of the Edible Oil Products Act from June 1, 2004 to January 1, 2005.

An Act to amend the
repeal date of the
Edible Oil Products Act

Assented to May 20, 2004

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

Repeal date of Edible Oil Products Act

1. Subsection 61 (2) of the Food Safety and Quality Act, 2001, as amended by the Statutes of Ontario, 2002, chapter 35, section 1, is amended by striking out “June 1, 2004” and substituting “January 1, 2005”.

Commencement

2. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short title

3. The short title of this Act is the Edible Oil Products Repeal Date Amendment Act, 2004.
