Uncertified driver’s record
How to order a 3-year uncertified driver’s record containing driver and licence details, and lists conviction information, any applicable demerit points, and suspensions.
Other driver’s records are available to cover longer time periods and contain more information. For example, a driver’s licence history search shows proof of beginner driver education course completion.
Before you order, make sure that a 3-year uncertified record is the document you need for your purpose. Check with the individual requesting the record to confirm which version you need before you order.
To order a 3-year uncertified driver’s record you will need:
one of the following
- your Ontario driver’s licence number
- registrant identification number
- your name and address
- the Ontario driver’s licence number of the person whose record you are requesting.
Make sure you have the following before you order:
- Adobe Reader to open and read the driver’s record
- a printer to print your receipt and the driver’s record.
After you complete the order you will receive an online copy of the driver record to print or save. A paper copy will not be mailed to you.
If you order a driver record but it is not on file you will still be charged the search fee.
A certified driver record contains the same information as the uncertified record but will also be stamped with the ministry approved embossed seal.
Remember to save or print the PDF of the driver’s record you ordered after your transaction. A paper version will not be mailed to you.
