The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services issues Ontario Corporation Numbers to corporations incorporated, continued or amalgamated federally or in other Canadian provinces (extra-provincial domestic) that wish to carry on business in Ontario.
In addition, the Ministry licenses corporations incorporated in a jurisdiction outside of Canada (extra-provincial foreign) to carry on business in Ontario.
