How much does a Birth Certificate Cost?

The Office of the Registrar General requires a fee from you in order to process birth certificate applications and other services. Check regularly for the most up-to-date information on applicable fees. Please note that fees are subject to change.

First birth certificate (Short form - 2.5" x 3.75")

Replacement birth certificate

First certified copy of birth (Long form - 8.5" x 14")
$35.00

Replacement certified copy of birth
$45.00

If applying for documents through the Emergency Service, Proof of urgency is required.
+ $30 surcharge for each document

If applying for documents through the Premium Online Service
+ $30 surcharge for each document

The cost of courier delivery is included in the cost of your certificate.
