Order in Council 1089/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Marian Jacko of Mississauga was appointed as the Children’s Lawyer for Ontario to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, by Order in Council O.C. 1759/2016 effective November 16, 2016;

And whereas Marian Jacko is temporarily unable to act in that position;

And whereas Nicholas Hedley was temporarily appointed as the Children’s Lawyer for Ontario for a term ending August 5, 2022, by Order in Council O.C. 1089/2021;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 89(1) of the Courts of Justice Act, Nicholas Hedley be reappointed as the Children’s Lawyer for Ontario on a temporary basis, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, effective August 6, 2022.
