Order in Council 1122/2026

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority is a corporation without share capital continued under the name Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority in English and Office des télécommunications éducatives de langue française de l’Ontario in French (“the Authority”) under subsection 2(1) of the Ontario French- language Educational Communications Authority Act, 2008;

And whereas pursuant to clause 6(5)(a) of the Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority Act, 2008, the Authority may, subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, purchase, lease or otherwise acquire land or any interest in land;

And whereas in accordance with clause 6(5)(a) of the Act, by OIC 800/2018, the LGIC authorized the Authority to enter into a lease with Collège d’Arts Appliqués et de Technologie La Cité Collégiale (“the Landlord”) commencing August 1, 2018 for 4,858 square feet of office space at 801 Aviation Parkway, Ottawa, ON, K1K 4R3 (“the Lease”);

AND WHEREAS the Ontario Public Service and its provincial agencies, boards and commission public bodies are required to return to a five days per week in-workplace standard effective January 5, 2026;

AND WHEREAS the Board of Directors of the Authority considers it necessary to lease additional space to accommodate employees in order to comply with five days per week in-workplace standard.

AND WHEREAS the Board of Directors of the Authority has approved an amendment to the Lease with the Landlord, to lease an additional area of approximately 1,098 square feet of office space, adjacent to the existing area for a period of two (2) years commencing on August 1, 2026, and expiring on July 31, 2028, at the monthly rates set out in the Lease;

Now therefore, pursuant to clause 6(5)(a) of the Ontario French-language Educational Communications Authority Act, 2008, the Authority be authorised:

1. To amend the Lease with the Landlord to lease an additional area of approximately 1,098 square feet of office space, at 801 Aviation Parkway, Ottawa, ON, K1K 4R3, for a period of two (2) years commencing on August 1, 2026, and expiring on July 31, 2028, at the following monthly rates:
   1. Two thousand five hundred and seventy five dollars and seventy two cents ($2575.72), plus applicable taxes, on the first day of each month commencing with August 2026 and ending in December 2026;
   2. two thousand seven hundred and fifty eight dollars and seventy three cents ($2758.73), plus applicable taxes, on the first day of each month commencing with January 2027 and ending in July 2028; and
2. to execute such documents as may be necessary for the purpose of entering into and implementing the amendment to the Lease.
