These particulars are posted following the withdrawal of appeal by Jaspreet Gill, director of 2784116 Ontario Incorporated o/a Road Ready Truck Training College to require a hearing of the Licence Appeal Tribunal under s. 19(3) of the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 (“the Act”).

On November 2, 2021, the Superintendent issued a Notice of Proposal to Refuse to Register 2784116 Ontario Incorporated o/a Road Ready Truck Training College. On November 16, 2021, Jaspreet Gill, director of 2784116 Ontario Incorporated o/a Road Ready Truck Training College filed a Notice of Appeal with the Licence Appeal Tribunal which was later withdrawn on August 30, 2022.

The proposal to refuse to register 2784116 Ontario Incorporated o/a Road Ready Truck Training College was therefore carried out on August 31, 2022 pursuant to s. 19(4) of the Act.

Reasons for decision

The Superintendent has refused to register 2784116 Ontario Incorporated o/a Road Ready Truck Training College for the following reasons:

Pursuant to s. 14(1) of the Act, the Superintendent was not satisfied:

  • that granting registration to Jaspreet Gill is in the public interest as required pursuant to subsection 14a of the Act read together with O. Reg. 415/06 s. 4.3; and
  • that the applicant will operate the private career college in compliance with the Act and the regulations; and
  • that the past conduct of the applicant provides grounds for the belief that the private career college will be operated in accordance with the law and with integrity and honesty; and
  • that the applicant is not carrying on activities that are, or will be, if the applicant is registered, in contravention of the Act or regulations

Superintendent’s action

On August 31, 2022 the Superintendent carried out the proposal to refuse to register 2784116 Ontario Incorporated o/a Road Ready Truck Training College.
