How it works

The ministry offers hundreds of different types of summer jobs to students throughout the province.

These jobs offer students valuable experience to last a lifetime and may involve working outdoors (such as at Ontario Parks, on a lake), at specific sites (such as laboratories, fish culture stations) or in an office environment.

Positions are offered through 4 programs that have specific:

  • age and eligibility requirements
  • application procedures and timelines

The ministry also offers professional, entry-level positions for recent post-secondary graduates through its paid Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) Internship Program.
