The Government of Ontario is organizing a Life Sciences Mission to Medical Japan and Bio Japan. Medical Japan will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan from October 1 to 3, 2025, featuring seven expos covering hospitals, clinics, pharmacy solutions, infection prevention, and digital healthcare. Bio Japan, the world’s oldest biotechnology expo, will be held at Pacifico in Yokohama, Japan from October 8 to 10, 2025. With more than 650 exhibitors at Medical Japan and over 200 at Bio Japan, these events will offer Ontario life science companies a chance to connect with Japanese and global customers and partners. Business-to-business matchmaking and meeting programs, along with a separate outreach program to Seoul, South Korea, are offered as options.

Ontario Life Sciences Mission to Japan Program Options include:

Program item 1: Exhibiting at Medical Japan (October 1–3, 2025) at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The cost is $1,500 (TBD) per company. This includes a turnkey exhibit space within the Ontario Medical Japan pavilion (27 sqm) with interpretation support, company listing as an exhibitor on the event website, a pre-mission webinar or market briefing, one-on-one export advice and consultation, company listing on the Ontario SourceFromOntario website, marketing support including a company directory, and in-market follow-up and support.

Program item 2: Exhibiting at Bio Japan (October 8–10, 2025) at Yokohama Pacifico in Yokohama. The cost is $1,500 (TBD) per company. This includes a turnkey exhibit space within the Ontario Bio Japan pavilion (27 sqm) with interpretation support, company listing as an exhibitor on the event website, a pre-mission webinar or market briefing, one-on-one export advice and consultation, company listing on the Ontario SourceFromOntario website, marketing support including a company directory, and in-market follow-up and support.

Program item 3: Curated B2B matchmaking program at Medical Japan (tailored B2B meetings). The cost is $1,500 per company. It will take place October 1–3, 2025, at the Ontario pavilion at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, with interpretation support and in-market support by the working team. Tailored B2B meetings are strongly recommended for new-to-Japan mission members.

Program item 5: Life Science Outreach Program to South Korea. The cost is $1,500 per company. It will take place October 6, 2025, at the Canadian Embassy in Korea, and includes a market briefing, tailored B2B meeting program with interpretation support, and in-market support by the working team.
