Building a Strong Ontario Together Act (Budget Measures), 2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

 

Building a Strong Ontario Together Act (Budget Measures), 2023

 

1. September 1, 2025 is named as the day on which the following provisions of the Building a Strong Ontario Together Act (Budget Measures), 2023, c. 21, which amend the Commodity Futures Act, come into force:

 

Schedule 1, s. 6, 7, 10.

 

2. September 1, 2025 is named as the day on which the following provisions of the Building a Strong Ontario Together Act (Budget Measures), 2023, c. 21, which amend the Securities Act, come into force:

 

Schedule 10, s. 8, 9, 11 (2), (5).

 

3. September 1, 2025 is named as the day on which the following provisions of the Building a Strong Ontario Together Act (Budget Measures), 2023, c. 21, which amend the Securities Commission Act, 2021, come into force:

 

Schedule 11, s. 1-3.

Correction

This Order in Council, as previously published on e-Laws, contained the following publication error:

The Order in Council was shown as having been recommended by the Solicitor General. In fact, the Order in Council was recommended by the Minister of Finance.

This error was corrected on June 10, 2026.
