On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

 

Less Red Tape, Stronger Economy Act, 2023

 

1. January 1, 2026 is named as the day on which the following provisions of the Less Red Tape, Stronger Economy Act, 2023, c. 9, being the Protecting Farmers from Non-Payment Act (Regulating Agricultural Product Dealers and Storage Operators), 2023, come into force:

 

Schedule 30, s. 1-68, 70-117, 118 (1)-(7), 118 (8), except clause (e), 118 (9)-(12), 119.

 

2. January 1, 2026 is named as the day on which the following provision of the Less Red Tape, Stronger Economy Act, 2023, c. 9, which repeals the Farm Products Payments Act, comes into force:

 

Schedule 30, s. 120.

 

3. January 1, 2026 is named as the day on which the following provision of the Less Red Tape, Stronger Economy Act, 2023, c. 9, which repeals the Grains Act, comes into force:

 

Schedule 30, s. 121.

 

4. January 1, 2026 is named as the day on which the following provision of the Less Red Tape, Stronger Economy Act, 2023, c. 9, which repeals the Livestock and Livestock Products Act, comes into force:

This Order in Council, as previously published on e-Laws, contained the following publication error:

The Order in Council was shown as having been recommended by the Solicitor General. In fact, the Order in Council was recommended by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness.

This error was corrected on June 10, 2026.
